I’ve found 3 different kinds of candy here that are breakfast-related, and here they are!
Number 1: Eggs! (fried, or sunny side up?)

Number 2: Waffles! (Where’s the maple syrup?)

Number 3: This is a classic thing that dutch children eat: it’s basically different flavored sprinkles that you eat with butter and big round crackers (called rusks)

but…have you had the salty licorice yet? If you find one you like (there are about 80 different kinds) that’s when you really known you’ve “gone native.”
I want candy-bacon with my candy-eggs (crispy please)
Just don’t put the sprinkles in your suitcase – we still have dutch breakfast sprinkles in the cupboard from the last trip to Holland in 2006!
tomorrow i am going to put sprinkles on my toast
